Maybe I'm missing something here but the clear slow pricing makes no sense to me. My local Woodcraft has the 2lb kit for 36.99. That's 18.49 per pound. The 16lb kit is 179.99. (11.25) per pound. Why such a big difference in price? Seems the larger kit would be more economical but I don't do alot of casting and I'm concerned the larger kit may go bad if I don't use it quickly enough.

Seems to make perfect sense. Most commodities are cheaper the more you buy. If it is not cheaper in greater quantities, something is wrong with the pricing not the other way around.

Shelf life at room temp is about 3 months if that helps... But yes, 16lb (2 gallons) is a pretty good size to keep you busy without running out too fast. Good news is that if you really get into it, the cost goes to single digits if you buy a pallet full.... ;)
