Tried my hand at a bigger section of aluminum, there are also thin strips of copper on each end of the aluminum. Then I used a cut off of some alumilite I had laying around. I just use one of my old carbide bits for my chisel when cutting the metals.

Splendid Pen Kyle,
Glorious Segmented Blank.
I take it that the Copper and Aluminium are well covered with CA, or a non porous medium, so that galvanic corrosion will not erode the Aluminium?
Excellent Choice of Hardware.
Thanks for posting,
Brian.

I haven't covered this one, as I have several other pens that are raw aluminum and haven't had an issue. I have a Karas Kustoms Bolt G2 which is all raw aluminum and used in the automotive shop world for several years and never had an issue. Though I did polish it a couple times just due to wear and tear of scratches. But I do live in AZ where it is extremely dry and not a lot of moisture in the air. I'll keep and eye on it though, thanks for the heads up.

Great looking pen! So not sure how it will react here, but copper and aluminum are not galvanically compatible. Essentially you end up with a battery if those 2 metals come in contact with each other and a bit of moisture. If you notice corrosion or color changing at some point where those metals meet, that's your culprit!
