Alternative Ivory Finishing.

How does everyone finish alternative ivory (the synthetic type you buy from CSUSA)? I just sanded to 4000 MM and then buffed and put caranuba wax on it.

Final touch would be Brasso. It acts as a finial very fine abrasive and polish. I would find no need for wax myself.

I just didn't know with it being white if it would begin to look dirty after a while. I thought with wax it could be cleaned and rebuffed over time. Thinking along those line is what made me post the question.

The alt ivory is just acrylic isnt it? If so, I'd see no reason to finish it differently than any other acrylic pen. Well, rather you should put as much protection into all your acrylics as you do your alt ivory.
