This was my entry into the tube on casting contest.

Tubes are patina'd to give an aged effect. The patina for the tubes is about a two day process. The large skull and other smaller parts are hand painted to also give an aged effect.

This was definately my best pen to date. I am extremely pleased. Hope you enjoy.

That pen looks like it took more then 1/2 hour to make  I am going to have to learn how to cast blanks, things like this are amazing, good work.

Well done, James. Excellent fit and finish. I admire the artistry in this one as it took two looks to catch all of the skull elements. Great job!

Incredible Pen, James.
A Different style of Steampunk.
Great assortment of Inclusions, one could spend a lot of time trying to identify the purpose and source of many components.
I have no idea or appreciation of what was involved in making this pen, so I can only comment on my Reaction.
Stunning, Brilliant, Engaging.
Brian.

Now I see why my entry didn't come close to being in the finals. Fantastic work!!!!!!!!!!!! What a beautiful pen and stunning photos to show it off. Jim S
