How many of you turners out there make multiple trips out to your trucks in order to set up and take down for your craft shows? Today, I took a total 8 trips back and forth loading and unloading. (I hope most of you are not laughing) I have built a lathe cart on lockable wheels, but I still think there is a better ALL IN 1 cabinet out there that will carry not only your pens, but a mini lathe, chisels, bushings, etc, but everything you need to have a successful show and still save your back and knees.
I set up my turnings in the front of my booth and set up my mini lathe behind the tables.
Please share your photos and even your plans (if you so choose) of the cabinet that you use for transporting your tools of the trade.

Some of our bigger shows take two days to set up----here's how we haul our wares
She is 7 X 16 foot------not as big of a set up as some folks.

First I think that if you have it down to 8 trips you are ahead of the curve already. But my opinion is not what you are asking for. sooooo, It has been a long time since I saw it but at one time there was an offer made in the personal adds for a complete craft show set up with trailer and all. It was a trailer like Gary's above. but inside was two huge display cabinets on wheels. Think the huge 8 foot long things that wal mart displays watches in. from the front you could view all the pens. from the back they where all drawers and cabinet space where all the stands, record keeping, lunch, and pens where stored. doing a show was almost as easy as just rolling these two cabinets into place and start setting up.
The only thing I did not like about it was that it would only work if you could actually roll those cabinets into place. sofar I ahve never done a show that this would not have been a problem. I also suspect that with even a smooth path you would need to people to handle them. of course you would not have to make them that big.
