African Blackwood Workshop Pencil

Here is a Workshop Pencil made using African Blackwood.
I managed to combine both the Blackwood & Heart wood to create this two tone Pencil.

That's an attention getter. First time I've seen such an amazing contrast in any kind of wood. If you didn't look close enough to see the figure in the black part you would think it was a resin cast.

Gorgeous work, Thomas !!! . Beautiful wood (and props !!) and beautiful result !!

I like and use that kit (or a very similar one ... there are several available.) . But I make it without the center band showing. . I press the tubes onto the center band and then turn the centerband down to the diameter of the tubes ... so you are left with one long tube which I glue into a single-piece (and long) drilled blank. . I like that "long look".
