It is amazing wood. Deep purplish-black. It is pretty dark but the grain still shows very well.

Cav, I have enough for 12 or 13 more pens, and I have 14.5 linear inches of 7/8" cut. Enough for a full-sized Gent =)

You hit a gold mine with that hunk of burl wood. Fantastic look and good work. On my monitor, it looks purplish also. Is that the color, or just a photo quirk?
