Having just watched Grub32's excellent CA finish youtube video, I wonder if any Canucks know of a dealer that sells aerosol CA Accelerator in Canada?

I've checked Lee Valley and KMS tools -- they sell it in 'finger spritzers' which I don't think will work as well as the aerosol spray.

The reason I've never tried this method is that I can't find this product here, and American suppliers are not keen about shipping it to Canada.

Thanks, Steve

I just received a shipment last week, from Woodturningz, which included a couple aerosol cans of activator; I also got a can from CSUSA about a year ago. However, to what Maxwell said, I have also had other suppliers where trying to buy the aerosols were holding up my online ordering. It may just be a hit or miss thing, but at least I've got enough now to last me for another year.

Aerosols are considered dangerous substances and cannot be shipped by air.

From one online source:
The current dangerous goods regulations allow the FAA to impose considerable fines to a shipper for failure to comply with the regulations. Fines can be levied if a shipper fails to properly identify, classify, mark, label and document dangerous goods. Fines and penalties of up to $100,000.00, and a year in jail can be given to those who ship dangerous goods without declaring them. Individuals who sign the shipping papers can be held personally liable

Why not just buy a cheap Air Brush, isn't there something like Harbor Freight up there?? I just buy the bottled stuff from Monty at Wooden wonders and use an air brush, one might even be a flea market item.

LOCTITE makes a good but expensive 'accelerator'. Whoever sells LOCTITE in your part of town should have it. Here in Toronto, I purchased some from B.D.I.

I think I have heard water is a CA accelerator!!! A fine mist will set it instantly...I have never seen it on a finish I used it in RC applications where appearance wasn't important.
