You may want to let the folks know how many tools and how long the runs will be and the such. All of this will come into play when shopping for a collection unit.

You will probably want to replace the 30 micron bag on it with a 1 or 2 micron bag. The 30 micron bag will allow very fine dust to escape.

Expect to pay $70 or more for the upgrade bag.

I agree with Stan 110%. I have an Oneida Dust Gorilla system and it has a cannister filter that filters down to 0.2 microns. If you get the Grizzly I'd think about replacing the bags with a cannister that filters down to at least 1 micron. It's the really fine particles that will get you in the long term.

Thanks guys.

My shop is only 12' X 16'.
Not sure length of run.
As far as tools
Lathe
Bench top Drill Press
Bench top Band Saw
Random Orbital Sander
Router with Bench top table
Thickness Planer

never more than one tool running at once.

Hope this info helps.

Thanks again

I have the HF 2hp dust collector
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=45378

It goes on sale pretty often and you can get it for less than $200. It works well and I have it hooked up to more machines than you have listed. I turn it on and off with a DC Remote
http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=5117 which is really nice. Just clip it to your belt and it saves walking back and forth to the switch.

Bear in mind that you will easily spend the equivalent of the DC on the hoses, connections and blast gates! I got most of these from Amazon.com

I plan to upgrade my DC with the Cartridge Kit from Wynnenvironmental
