Hi All,

I use a small amount of epoxy to install a roll stop in some of my pens. I use a stud/ball earring. However, I'm wondering if I can use shellac instead.

The benefit over epoxy would be that, with heat, one could easily remove and replace the roll stop, if needed. But I've never used shellac before, so I don't know how it would hold up.

Thanks,
Max

The major disadvantage of shellac, is if any type of alcohol touches it, it will come off. Including alcohol in sanitizer.

Another product to consider might be hide glue. It has been used as a removable adhesive for a couple of centuries.
