Guys,
I have never worked with any of the plastic type blanks. How do you finish the Acrylic Acetate or Plasic type blanks? Do you put anything one them or just polish them out? Will they keep a good shine?

As always, any input would be helpful.

Thanks,
Lester Moore

MM to 12000 or sand to highest grit you have and use something like Hut plastic Polish, Novus, or another brand of anti-swirl polish.

wet sand using the MM for acrylics/synthetics (fewer grits than the woodworker's MM, and it gives a nicer shine, IMHO), the follow up with the diamond polish you'll find listed in the classifieds. I thought the MM and plastic polish gave a nice finish 'till I tried the diamond stuff.
