Acceptable runout for lathe chuck?

Turn your penblanks round to .75 diameter between centers. Use the .75 collet to hold your blank for drilling. I can drill half way through a blank, turn it around and drill from the other end and the two bores will meet head on. This is how I drill the longer blanks used for the one piece pens I make.
I hold my mandrel with my collet chuck.
Do a good turn daily!
