Accelerator questions

A number of people have stated that the aerosol accelerator is less aggressive than the stuff in a pump.

Is the stuff that we pump spray different than the aerosol?

If it's not, could we put the bulk stuff in an air brush and achieve the same effect as the aerosol?

Inquiring minds want to know... I've never used an air brush but I have access to one if I want it.

I don't know if the stuff in the pump bottles is the same as what's in the aerosol cans or not, I can only state that after using both kinds, I would never go back to the pump bottles. I think, and this is only speculation, that it is the same but what you get with the aerosol is a much finer mist than the drops that come from the pump bottles. Give the air brush a try and let us know. We love guinea pigs![][]

As a distributor for ZAP glues I can assure you that the pump and spray are the same contents. The difference is the pump tends to come out more in globs or larger sized drops where the spray atomizes the liquid much better. You can buy products such as the Preval spray gun that Rockler sells. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=17830 This allows you the ability to spray almost any kind of liquid.

Generally when I go to spray something, I give a quick squirt to activate the pump and then use it on intended project. I do not get splatters unless just using the product. I know that the accelarators are a little spendy, but it beats have to sand more than you want to clear any soaked in drops. I think once a pressure is built up it'll spray well while needing to use it. []me 2 cents.
