That's where I purchased the material I was trying. Looks like you had a lot better luck than I did. That just makes the pens that much more impressive know the difficulty involved.

The best trick I found was to warm the abalone sheet once you have it cut to size. I have a small oven I use for casting so just used that on the lowest temp possible for a few minutes
