abalone PMG pen

These are some of the abalone pens I have made. One is the one form PMG ,one is a faux abalone pen, one is a faux mother of pearl pen and one is the pen I made for the 20th anniversary of the woodturing club.
The explanation of how I made the real abalone pen is in casual conversation. I was not sure where to put it. I had been asked many times to explan this pen. Alice

Beautiful looking pens. I recently bought some abalone shells from New Zeland and glued some up. Havent had time to turn them yet but I hope they look as good as yours.

Congrats Alice! great looking pens, lve been working on a paua shell pen since xmas just a bit here and there maybe next xmas l have it done. l have too many projects on the go.

Yes I broke it up myself and believe it or not everytime I had a pen that pulld away from the resin I would take it apart and take every tiny piece off to use again!
