Abalone Parade - Black Cherry

Here's the 2nd of 3 in the abalone parade. A black cherry abalone on the Emperor it. All of the abalone blanks were from Jon David.

That is really nice. I don't think I've ever seen a red abolone pen before. Great job :good:

In the "personal opinion" category, I have generally not like the dyed abalone blanks. I felt that the coloration tended to take something away from the abalone, rather than enhance the look. But seeing this pen, my opinion is altered a bit. This deep red coloration combined with the abalone has produced a very fine looking pen. This pen represents an excellent choice in plating and design. Very well made, nice work!
