Abalone inlay

G'day!
Fellow Aussie Ian de Courcey made these lovely blanks using guitar inlay, cast in clear resin. I did the easy part by turning and putting them on a Noble fountain pen kit.

Very nice! I've made a few liken that with different colors of celluloid. They cast nicely as long as they are thin strips. Ive bought them in sheets and strips. I just wish the strips came a little bit narrower.

Good evening John. When cutting the abalone veneer. Are you using the abalone veneer with the 3M adhesive attached to the back of the veneer? Or non Adhesive. By the way. Great job on the Pen gathering show last week. Really enjoyed it. David R.
