I FINALLY got something i could work with in my little one car garage. Before, I had to shift things around to get to what I needed, then I was bored and took a browsing trip to Lowe's. I saw a pre-made cabinet sitting there. I asked the guy if he had another one because this one was cracked in the corner, he said "No, but let me ask my manager if i can give you a discount since it's a bit messed up right there." He came back and offered me 50% off! I picked out a cheap top, took them home, fixed the corner (come on, I'm a woodworker, it was easy), and the result is what you see below.

The base was pre-assembled, I simply did some repairs on it, then secured a top and a couple lathes to it.
 
Cool! Nothing wrong with bargain blems if you can make them work. I neighbor was throwing out a hanging cabinet during a remodel so I replaced the hinges (one was broken), installed one cleat on the back, another on the wall and hung it above my big lathe. No, it isn't the prettiest cabinet, but it's hanging in a woodshop and it holds accessories. I prefer function over appearance in the shop.
 
Your shop looks great. I like the cabinet and the one above it. You did a great job.
I get cabinets off Craig's list. They are functional and work great. I try not to pay for work benches and things and Craig's list is such a great resource.
 
Thanks, I made the top cabinet with some scrap board and extra pegboard laying around. Open the right door and there's 3 shelves I daddoed in to keep my general supplies.
 
You can't possibly make anything in there. It's way too clean. My shop looked that way the day before I moved into it. Well, maybe not even then. Looks great - make some shavings.
 
Trust me, it was only that clean for the one picture. There's shavings all over it now. But that Formica top makes it a breeze to clean off.
