I just finished this pen, which I made from transparent purple acrylic, Argentium silver, and amethysts. Stone setting has been my latest skill to try learning, so I wanted to make a pen with some gemstones incorporated. I made the trim and clip from a large ingot of silver I cut down and rolled out to the appropriate dimensions for each piece. I set 4mm AAA grade natural amethysts in the clip using a traditional grain setting technique. The pen is about 5,25" long when capped, with 13mm cap threads .

Purple works! I love the skill set for your pens - I love hearing Dixieland jazz Trombone that I could never play; and I love seeing your pens that I will never come close to. I appreciate the Masters. 👏 👏 👏
