Just got this finished for my guild meeting this past weekend. Yes it was all turned on the lathe, sorry not in one piece. It was done in 3 pieces and some off centre work. C & C welcome.

I would have loved to see the in progress forms that you turned to get there. No way I would have thought you did it all on the lathe. Fantastic!

It was done in three pieces, I suspect the "magic" is in the alignment of the two that are not obviously separate.

Brilliant work!! Your own idea, or did you see something similar?

Thanks Ed, yes it was my idea. I was at the Seattle Centre last year and saw this concrete sculpture that gave me this idea. Anyone on here belong to WOW (World Of Woodturners) It made the cover this week.
