My Brother-In-Law is a cabinet maker. Occasionally he throws some scraps my way. He recently gave me a piece of nicely figured walnut. I decided to give some of it back to him in the form of a shop pencil. I'd never done one of these before so I TBC with no bushings. Finished with CA. I wish I could ge better pictures. These do not do the timber justice.

Nice job and "goodo"on the TBC.
I've made a bunch of those and they are always appreciated. Great way to give back.
Actually, I've drifted to the Shop Pencil from CSUSA. It has a hex center band and I find it doesn't roll off the bench as easy.
Thanks for showing and good story.

Very nice! I am actually prepping one now (watermelon/pink - green) for a gal who want to use it to make notes in her Bible.

Beautiful pencil. ( also had to change it ) cause i don't see many pencils on the site but that one (shop pencil) has a lot of area to work with will be on my list of first pencils to do.
