Here are a few that's been my learning curve.  The first cigar is from a piece of cedar I pulled out from under a tree in the front yard.  The second is birds eye maple from old wood my Dad had stored up for guitars.  The third is claro walnut I got from my Brother-In Law's gunstock scrap.  (Can you believe he burns this for heat in his workshop stove?)  And the fourth is cherry and maple from my scrap pile.  
I took the picture on the front porch with velvet draped over the grill. It sure is hard to hold that little camera still and close focus!
