....just trying something different. The wood is useless spalted Cottonwood that Jim Burr stabilized for me. Jim did a great job and the wood was worth saving. I built this pen on Smitty's V2 although I did not need the extra space garnered with his component set. I just like the sets he puts out. I still have 21 pieces left too! After turing the blank I carved out a river pathway, painted the blue colored waterway and then made my cast. This exploratory avenue has opened further more ideas for me. C~N~C's welcomed. .....thanks all for the comments. I wasn't was not thinking worthless wood, but looking at the turned blank, to me that is just what it looks like. Pretty cool and good combo of the color and wood as Cottonwoods are usually found near rivers in the midwest and west.
Having spent a few days with Jan...I assure you he is a guy, and his wife's name is not Jan.
