Mark a lot of big Brahmas, are so gentle you could literally put the Cowboy up bare back, (and butted).
I ain't sayin they all are like that but we had a couple on our place in New Mexico that were worse than house cats. And that is an OLD bull unless it's a steer, and who knows perhaps they were doing a factual comparison. I think I saw a tear in the Brahmas eye, perhaps he just couldn't measure up!!! what ever it sure is a pretty nice looking (I'm guessing) Bull.

When I was growing up in West Texas a couple of eons ago, we lived in a town called Vernon... we lived out towards the edge of town and in the lot behind us was a corral that a fellow used to keep his Brahma bulls... he was a rodeo performer and traveled with about 6 bulls... we kids used to go over and sit on the fence and watch him work the bulls and pet them through the fence. They were like kittens. He would sometimes have to run us off so the bulls would pay attention and concentrate on their training... they would rather be petted by the kids.
Actually, I've seen Brahma cows that were more aggressive than the bulls. My dad's cousin (I guess my cousin too) ran a ranch down near Marquez, TX that had an old Brahma cow that would fight the horses to the point most of them were afraid of her... they could put her in the corral to milk (why they milked a Brahma is beyond me) and she could walk up to the fence, throw her head up and if it cleared the fence, she could back off and jump the fence.... Nasty nasty old heifer.
