Had a moment in between trying to sharpen knives and got into the wood shop. @TonyL - This is an Ellipse kit, Antique Bronze and Gun Polish (I think) and I followed @ed4copies instructions - option 1. The timber is good old Paduk, a great standby when I can make up my mind. Finish is a little weird; wet sand by hand 320, 400, 800 using Mahoney's, then Black, followed by Tan Mirlon again using Mahoney's. 1 coat Myland's Cellulose sanding sealer, let dry; Black then Tan Mirlon, no Mahoney's. Finally 3 coats Pen's Plus, Black then Tan Mirlon following each coat, after drying to touch. No wax this time - I just forgot it. Enjoy. Comments are welcomed.

Nice looking result, Don !!

Don't quite follow your description of the "finishing" ... in particular ... "Black followed by Tan Mirlon" ... but that's not a bit deal. . Perhaps you have some materials and accessories that I don't see in my local environment ... I'll do some googling.

EDIT: - Now I get it after googling ... the Mirlon is like Abranet, it seems.

Thanks for posting, Don. . I like the kit, and have used it myself. . I am a fan of the Sierra-like pen kits.

Mirlon has been out for a while now. It is a non woven product and I love it for wood; not so much on acrylics. There is a Red pad as well, about 320 grit equivalent I think. It's my go to stuff for wood now.
Thanks for the compliment and the comments.
