A Pod of Panache'

Finally got around to making some of Craft Supplies new Panache desk pens, and I like them a lot. It's a high quality kit and easy to make. The lower barrel leaves a lot of meat on the finished blank, allowing plenty of opportunity to customize the shape. BTW, the CS site says you need a 6" x 1" blank to make a Panache...all of these were made from 5" x 7/8" blanks.

The one in the middle reminds me of bamboo. I wonder if you can use the shape to resemble bamboo along with the center rings.
