It's been several weeks since I've had the chance to make a pen. Here's a pair of Anvil click pens, one of antler and one made from that beautiful Thuya Burl from @steven_davis_1987@hotmail .
I got the Thuya to make a pen for my dad but wanted to see how it turned and how it looked on a test pen first. It did not disappoint! Top 3 types of wood I've had the chance to use so far.
I also tried a negative rake carbide blade on these and it was a total game changer.... I had ribbons of antler coming off as I turned which I didn't think was even possible for something that is almost as hard as bone!
