After much anticipation, Joseph Brian Goulet was brought lovingly into the world at 8:08pm on Monday, 1/25. He's 8lb2oz, 21" long, and has a full head of dark hair. He has the appetite of an elephant, and he's running his mommy and daddy ragged! But despite that, he's the most beautiful and rewarding thing I've ever produced :biggrin: Thank you all for all your prayers so far, and please pray for my wife who is recovering from a marathon 16-hour labor with 3 hours of pushing that resulted in a c-section due to complications. Everyone is healthy, but very, very tired!!!

Congratulations! We will pray for all of you. And if you think he can eat now, just wait a few years.... Boys are appetites with the skin pulled over them. :biggrin:
 
Brian, Thats good news. My wife and I just had a new nephew 2 weeks ago. The labor thing didn't brother us much:biggrin:. I know you will be a great dad, congrats

Update...Rachel and I just brought our little boy back from the hospital. As you may have guessed, I'm running on almost no sleep (much like college!!). I was prepared for the lack of sleep, but not the emotional rollercoaster of my wife's labor and recovery. It's been a challenge, but by far the most exciting and rewarding thing I could have ever dreamed!

I had always anticipated I might *think* my son to be the cutest baby in the world, but as it turns out he IS the cutest baby in the world! Funny how that works ;) Pictures pending!
