I have been a long time lurker in this forum. I though it was about time I posted something.

I was tired of the pens that I have been carrying, so I made a new today. It is a slimline pen using curly maple stained with a dark reddish brown alcohol based stain and a macassar ebony centerband. Not not my best work, but good enough to carry. I beat up the pens I carry on a daily basis, so I just put a decent finish on them and don't worry about it.

The finish is Enduro. I haven't used it much. I used it on this pen to see how it holds up under everyday use. I usually use a CA/BLO finish.

I can't thank everyone who posts in this forum enough. I have learned alot from reading the posts here and it keeps me inspired and humble. There is so much information and help to be found here.

Sorry for the poor picture, I am not much of a photgrapher.

Thanks again, Tim

That's not a bad looking pen!

I'd put that in carry around set too!

Not a bad looking pen. The rings on the "center band" make it hard to tell if you got a tight fit there or not.

I tend to dent my pens in my pockets with key rings and keys myself.
