The Red Morrel Burl is a Sierra. The Multicolor is just a slimline. I have no clue what the multicolor is made from. I got it in a bunch of blanks I got from a guy that gave up pen turning. The Red Morrel came from PenBlanks.Ca. Bill Collier has some of the best blanks I've got. He's always got nice Burls or other exotics. The Burl isn't the easiest to turn as it is really hard and you have to keep the tool sharp(very). I cleaned it up with a skew, filled a few voids with dust and CA, and went with just a Friction Polish as I like the feel of the wood. The slimline was just experimenting with the blank and put a friction polish on it too. I sand to 800 then MM TO 12000 on all my pens before the friction polish goes on. Thanks, Brian
