Just tracked a package for a person on the west coast.
Left Racine 2-4-2011.
Left Oak Creek (Mitchell field) 2-4-2011 10PM
Arrived Forest Park, IL (Just outside Chicago) 2-9-2011
Then there are four entries, all different dates, all say:
Processed through Forest Park Sort Facility, last one is 2-11 at 7:30AM. So, it could still BE in that facility.
We had a lot of snow and, for a couple days, not much moved. I heard 15,000 flights were canceled and lots of mail moves on passenger flights, I am told.
But, the real point here is that the USPS is still recovering from the shock. So, patience is going to be required for a while.
'Goods in transit" are not moving very fast!!!
