A little bit of wood

I haven't posted any wood in a while and I needed to make some wood pens. Both pens are Jr. Statesman rollerballs. The first one is Amboyna Burl from Isaac Rapelje with 8-9 coats of lacquer, MM to 12000, buffed with white diamond and finished with TSW.

The next one is cross-cut Texas Ebony I just got from Dario. He sent me a sample of this stuff last year with some other wood I got from him and it was really nice. I finally got some more along with his heritage Oak. This one is finished with CA because the lacquer wasn't giving me the depth I wanted.

Nice pens Gerry. Both are unique in their own way.

Minor note, you got biased cut pieces of the TX Ebony and not x-cut [].

Very nice. I'm starting to realize that I don't put enough coats on my lacquered pens. Thanks for the info.
