One little planning mistake on the upper section, but otherwise I really like that vain that runs down the back side. Really draws the 2 halves together.
 
Fantastic............Makes me want to try that, but I have a long ways to get there.

That is one pen to be very proud to own. Wishing I could like it more then once.
 
My wife made a pair of these blanks over the course of an afternoon working in the shop while doing other things.

I think Jonathon Brooks got the other one in a blank swap so I'm kinda curious how that one turned out.
 
Did you need to use anything like sanding sealer to keep the colors from bleeding into one-another?

No on the sealer. Turned it, hit it quickly with 600, wiped it down and then started on the CA finish. The only place I am careful when sanding is near the metal. I try not to drag those areas where it might contaminate the wood around it.
