I just thought I would remind the members and maybe even make notice to new members that there is a member here that has contributed quite of bit of time as well as knowledge to help not only with the making of pens but alo the promoting of the craft. Every once in awhile I get some free time and just scan the internet and and different media platforms and ran into Gabe Castro's web site. He does this thing on Pens of the week. he has been doing it for quite some time from the amount of episodes I have seen. What is cool he has taken articles and photos of artisans pens from various sources and highlighted many of them on this series he has. Many are IAP members that we have seen and watched their work dazzle us over the years. I won't start mentioning them because I will leave many out for I have not seen all his series. But I highly recommend you check his series out and also look for his tutorials not only here but many sites on FB and his Youtube videos. You will not be disappointed and I am sure will see some fantastic pens from many extrodinary artists. I like looking at things like that because it inspires me to do better and to expand my thinking and creative juices start flowing.

I hope Gabe reads this and maybe can explain what he actually does in more depth and details. But it is worth the effort to check him out. As I said in title a hidden gem and there is many more that just do not get the mention. That is what makes this place such a gold mine when it come to the art of pen making.

Happy Turning.

Well said, John. I got a lot from Gabe's segmenting videos, especially the jigs that he used.
Alan I saw that he highlighted a few of your pens and had glowing remarks about your work which is no surprise. He shown a pen you made a few years ago and I forgot about and it was pretty darn good. I do not know If i can find it again. This is the one. Excellent work.

This was one.
