Here is a couple of peppermills that where a real joy to turn. After all of the waiting for glue to dry seeing the pattern emerge brings a smile to my face.
Starting from the left is padauk, purple heart and black walnut next is birdseye maple and chechen and last but not least is jatoba and maple.
As always question and comments are welcome.

beautiful segmentation... I don't do the standard mills, (I'm a little measurementally challenged and if you're off much the mills don't work right)
I prefer the crush grind ... I can cut the shaft to fit my turning rather than have to make my turning fit the shaft.

Your mills are beautiful....

The trick with a standard mill is to error on the short side of your measurements then at the end if you need to you can cut the shaft down a little.

Those are pretty awesome! All 3 are beautiful but the birdseye maple/chechen really catches my eye. As mentioned, thanks for the pics from the top showing how the blanks were glued up.
