I find the shape of the black limba bowl interesting and the flame box elder of course catches the eye but the walnut and maple is my favorite.

Walnut and maple works for me too Mike. Any reason for the particular shape you've adopted? Better gluing surface area or was it just the shape that appealed to you? Just curious but nice work !

This may sound stupid, but the bowl tells me what shape it's going to be. Every bowl I start never finishes as I originally planned.

Anyone who truly enjoys turning should know what you mean. While we may have an idea, the wood tells us what to do and if we listen it generally "turns" out much better than if we do not. šŸ˜Š
