Cocobolo, Hairy Oak and African Ebony cut to hex on a Beall with a Dremmel. Finished with 3 coats of Rustin's Plastic Coat, once set sanded with 600/800, then micromesh to 12000 (all by hand sanding flat on the lathe bed), EEE and finally buffed with Hut wax.
Unfortunately I sanded a bit too much on the Ebony and went through to the wood in parts, so recoated, but ended up worse than the first time because I didn't leave it to set long enough . I was sick of sanding by hand by then, so left it with the Hut buff
I really like this kit, smooth mechanism and feels good in the hand. Should be popular with the guys & father's day
Cheers
