I was asked to make a gavel for the state president of The Widow's Sons Motorcycle Riding Assn. The handle is a connecting rod from a Harley, The wood is a piece of maple from a branch that fell at LeBron James's home here in town.
This is the first thing I have made from it and I will be cutting the rest into pen blanks.

Thanks for looking.

Unique gavel!!! Leave it to a turner to come up with something unique, yet beautiful to turn... Great idea! Thanks for sharing and safe turning to you!

Bob; Great work! You should also make sure to make a document to accompany the gavel detailing the parts and their sources. This is called "provenance"
