So I posted over the wknd that a lady gave me a box of wood for free. I got her business card and emailed her for her address as I wanted to send her something. So I made these slimlines out of some of the wood she gave me. The darker one is Brazilian Walnut. The other I'm not sure. I know I've turned it before but I forget what it is. I'm thinking maybe Teak? Anyway, I hope she enjoys these when she gets them.

Bobby--your turning has come a long way in a short time. As has your finishing--read some of your questions from 5 or 6 weeks back...i look at those pens and don't see an issue with finishing!!

The one on the right looks like some quilted makore i have--but no way to tell.

Thanks earl! They say practice makes perfect. I don't believe in that but I do believe that practice makes better. Lol

Great pens, great gesture from both of you. Win-Win is much needed these days!

Well done. (I still like my slim lines!). :)
