A Couple of Churchills.

Just finished this afternoon....

As a new pen turner I want to try everything I can get my hands on. I like the look of the Churchill kits and recently ordered a few. The style has a classic look to me.

I finished these two today. One is amboyna burl and the other is stabilized buckeye burl. They are both sterling. I turned them both between centers (which I like so much better then using the mandrel.) For a finish I used about 6-8 coats of medium CA glue, finished with chrome car polish.

This is too much fun! (if that's possible.)

I'm finding out that the nice thing about turning pens is that I can enjoy making making pens that I enjoy even as I am learning and increasing my skill.
