My son and I decided to do a couple of Celtic pens. I decided to use some Irish Bog Oak with 1 coat of CA and no polish, He dressed his in a blank called "Enchanted Forest". C&C welcome.

Great pens by the both of you !! It would be interesting to see your pen with 8-10 coats of CA, sanded to 1200, and polished to give it that deep luster. Than again I am looking at a photo and not the pen itself, and that isn't the look you were going for in the first place. Keep your son busy, teach him well, and look back at these moments as time passes. PRICELESS !!!! Jim S

Great Pens, David and Son.
Interesting Blanks, Good Fit and Finish.
For my taste, I would prefer the blank to be less Cigar shaped.
I also agree with plantmans suggestion re Finish.
Congratulations,
Brian.

I've been meaning to try the celtic but I'm still on the fence about it

The enchanted forest is cool I'm not sure I've seen that before

Maybe it's the picture, but the finish on the bog oak doesn't seem quite right to me. I would just skip the ca entirely If you are going for a rustic or natural look, ca left unpolished is not usually the ticket Just my opinion.
