Both of these are for a customer whose house I'm working on. The first is for her, cherry body with pine scallops and accents (the pine is from the house which was built in 1880) The white accents on the scallops are anigre veneer.
The second is for him and is a checkerboard of the same pine from the house and oak from a 200 year old tree that was cut down over the summer down the street. I'm not particularly happy with it as it looks busy with to little contrast between the pine and the oak. I think I'm going to redo it as a simple segment with the pine and oak and a dark/white/dark veneer sandwich to set off the segments.
