Tried out some Bethlehem Olive Wood to make some farewell gifts for a lady at work. This is not only my first experiment with BOW, but my first Americana
and my first Sierra
I was used to the angle of the nib as it transitions to wood being sharper then on the Americana so the transition from wood to nib is not very nice. Being used to how the Cigar/Slimline/Euro clip end friction fits over the transmision, I find I tend to accidentally unscrew the pen when retracting the point.
I really like this wood, it is very easy to turn, and polishes up pretty well. I almost went with no finish.
