My plan is to assemble a small flat rate box with "starter" quality pen blanks in 5" and shorts for beginning pen turners. I regularly have walnut, maple, cherry, purpleheart, Padauk pieces and even some spectraply blanks. I might also have functional but not new drill bits and stock bushings.

I would ask only for around $8 in flat rate shipping and perhaps skip that.

Do you think it is a good idea?

Would you do the same?

Sounds like a "starter kit". *some assembly required :P
This really is a great idea and it's kind of you to offer. I would do it for the cost of shipping, though it may take me a while to find things in my disaster of a space that somewhat resembles a workshop right now. Lord knows I can spare a couple 3/8" bits.

Here are the full size and short blanks I'm going to distribute. Padauk, maple, purpleheart, cherry, African mahogany, American black walnut.

Thanks to Bill ( AMANAP on IAP) the shipping to new turners will be FREE. Thanks Bill.

I already refunded guy #1's PayPal.
