I super nice friend sent me some blanks and I used one to make this incredibly gorgeous pen today. I used a piece of white acrylic with brown specs from an acrylic blank and used a Rose Gold kit to pull out the red in the acrylic part of the blank. The other part is wood and it just made a truly nice pen. I think my wife is claiming this one and has been raving about it since I finished it. She gets first call on anything that I do. Please let me know what you think of it. I sort of reminds me of the sun breaking through clouds after a storm at daybreak so I think I will call it "Sun Burst".

The diet is working Mike!!!

The form of this is excellent. Nice straight lines, fit at the joints look good. And the turning looks very nice!

The lower blank is very nice! Good job with the wood and casted portions, they can be tricky to turn and finish. Different materials, different densities, different personalities!

Looking good!!!
