you would think that you could get masking tape in a smaller roll.

Wife says "NO MORE WOOD!!! a guy has to do what he can:)

Sorry but that might partially my fault. I think "they"know I'll mess up more than needed so "they" sell everyone some extra. But 90 feet is a little much. I never made that big a mess at least not at once.

I like your banding there. You are just full of good ideas aren't you. I don't know if 90 ft is enough for me, I might get one blank from a that roll.

OK now that you have been cute are you saying you made the pen from masking tape and if so can you explain in more detail about the pen??

Based on your description I was 100% sure if it was made with masking tape or you just used that much to hold things together. I would never have guessed that that isn't wood, it looks very, very real. Great job! You are certainly being very innovative!

So is this Scotch(r) wood or 3M(r) burl?
More like old phone pole on a roll,It's an old technique from the 70's small pieces of masking tape (torn ) into about 1/4" odd shapes and stuck to a bottle then brown shoe polish is applied to make it look like a cork bottle.
Drop in a candle and there ya go.

So this makes those fancy burls almost worthless. But I may be willing to give you all .01 on the dollar just to help you all out so you can purchase some masking tap and markers! Just sayin tryin to help!
