I decided to try an 8 sided knot on my Byrnes saw. I have always used my bandsaw for these. I expected the unturned blank to look the same as the bandsaw ones. They do not. Now the turned blank will look the same so there's no concern there. The difference in cutting is the bandsaw jig nestles the blank in it on the 45°angles while the table saw locates the blank on the flats. This is just an unexpected result I thought I'd share. The two blanks on the left are the table saw ones and the two on the right are bandsaw.
