Over 70 of them are exotics. All are labeled - most with the Latin botanical name as well.

All are spindles 2" square by 6" long.

That is awesome. I hope you plan on making each of those family members a pen. I bet they would love it and it would be a piece of their history. Great buy.

They aren't that interested as their dad has so many turnings that he did himself that's more special to them then mine would be, but I likely will anyway since he wasn't really much of a pen turner.
 
I've heard of a few of those woods and there are some on that list that are tough to find. Did you buy them or were they given to you? Can't wait to see what you make of them.

2" square open up possibilities like bottle stoppers, shaver brushes, all kinds of good stuff!
 
A lot of handles for pizza cutters, ice cream scoops, coffee scoops, screw drivers, dibbles, and other stuff.
A lot of envy on this end - oops, envy is a bad word, huh? :biggrin:
