Hi--Do you (can you) use this on a wood lathe? Looks like a pretty nifty set-up. I saw a Youtube video on how it works. That gent (the guy who makes this, I think) was working on a metal lathe. I can get my lathe down to pretty slow speeds--I think it bottoms out at 65 RPM. Now, getting a tenon that is perfectly square and exactly the same diameter throughout ...

I used it on both a metal lathe and a wood lathe. On the wood lathe I did not use any power, all hand turned. On the metal lathe used reverse slow speed to back the tap out. Can be done without the power on, just saves a little time. Yeah, the tenons can be challenging.

If you have variable speed, turn it down to 100 rpm or lower, hand start it, then you can power feed in and reverse out.
