Hey guys,
Here is another, it is Lignum Vitae, fantastic wood it is one of the only non-burl wood I work with. I only have 5 blanks of that one, it is so dense! As a reference on the janka scale ebony is at 3000 or so and this one is at 4000. The wood is oily and cut like butter and has a nice vanilla aroma when turned. This wood oxydize over time so I let it sit for a few weeks and it got a darker/greenish coloration.
